One of my readers - Tom - shared an interesting statistic with me: the response rate when he sends out InMail.
You see Tom prospects with the help of LinkedIn and has experimented with different approach styles.
It’s a fascinating look at just how important it is to speak (and write) to someone as an individual.
Form letters
Yup - nobody really likes getting form letters. Tom’s response rate: 5-10%, seems about right to me.
Take some time
So Tom started taking the time to write a personal letter instead - and you know what? It works. His response rate is now pushing 40%.
What else can you say…
Impersonal == Ignored
Personal interaction sparks a personal response.
So take action
Go out and make it personal;-)
To your continued success - and using LinkedIn to help you achieve it,
steve
