stylock 29 Jul 2008 | : About the Service, Outside LinkedIn

Every so often during one of my training session an individual will ask “What about other networking sites?”

Does Updating My Profile Mean I’m Looking For A Job?

stylock 25 Jul 2008 | : Ways to Use LinkedIn

This is one of those questions that people ask me when they don’t want anyone to know they’re looking for a better job…

The inference is that if they do something that only people who are looking for a job do, they’ll be labeled such.

LinkedIn Across The Miles

stylock 01 Jul 2008 | : Ways to Use LinkedIn

Becky McCray calls it “Making LinkedIn work for small town pros” on her gust blog at Small Biz Survival, but I think the key point she makes is that LinkedIn helps when you aren’t very local…

If you’re the only Internet Marketing Expert in a town of 2,000 people, you won’t be able to have coffee with many peers - but with LinkedIn, you can maintain your existing connections and build new relationships through introductions without ever traveling

And that’s a great thing…
